Broadcast is the map...

DM is the server...

The setting, the file-room and hallway...

Many many times do I die in that file-room next to the bathroom due to clay's and also the short hall behind it.

I tend to mimic clay placement to where I die, cause I move fast as you well know and if it gets me, well it will get others likely... also I only started using clays in the last few month regularly.

I don't remember who was on at the time but I think it was Killemall that advised me that placing a clay there was prohibited and also in the hall. Well today I was killed by a clay in that spot and I warned that placement was prohibited.

I just wanted to verify that it is in fact an off-limits area.

There are many many players that use those two spots as clay placement (Rarely if ever have I had a SK warning due to a clay there) and also unlike the tunnels on other maps there are 2 exits from the bathroom spawn.

Just for clarity, not challenging but there is a lack of consistency regarding that area and clays... I am good either way, as I love that spot for knife attacks... it is just cosy enough for that intimacy in hand to hand combat.

Hey Thrasher,

Glad you brought this up.

In Broadcast, whether it be TDM or FFA, there are spawn points in the toilets so putting a clay "in" that room is not allowed. Equally, blocking an exit from spawn by placing a clay is also prohibited.
There are two spawn points in the toilets. So, if you put a clay in the room you mention, it should not stop a player from leaving the toilets.

The other room where this happens frequently is the longer filing cabinet room at the top of the stairs between the balcony and the "Green Hall" at the bottom of the stairs at the back. There are in fact three spawn points in that room so again, clays are prohibited. Some players think it is ok to put a clay at the top of the back stairs to catch those coming up. But, there is a spawn point right next to it and while it is pointed away, only 1 or 2 steps and a spawner will get killed. So no clay there either.

Hope this helps and thanks for bringing it up!

When I told people recently that they shouldn't put clays in the toilets (TDM), I was told I was wrong by a load of people including at least two admins :(

On middle / small maps spawns are all over....

Nice idea Boots m8 , it would help a lot to our admins and it would be a much less spawnkills , but a lot of players like clays....

How ever i think that people should be more careful where they put clays... especially members and admins :)

I have like I said removed clays from my "Fast" profile (P90, Nades, Sidearm... Fast Reload, Silence, 3xNades Perks) It just isn't worth stopping as much as being able to toss a nade into a known camp spot... now if I could stop tripping on those clays... Corrr said to me today, it's always you that trips em... and he is right... :)

But now I know, I should be able to correct through chat folks that are failing the planting rules...

I have never died to a clay while spawning. I use bomb disposal perk on most of my loadouts. IMO we need to start differentiating between TDM and FFA when applying some of our rules. FFA requires a much stricter ruleset than TDM to run smoothly.

I tend to play FFA more often, however when the server is empty I'll play on the TDM server. So my original post was mainly geared towards FFA.
