




I have now added Clan stats for BF3, this shows your stats relative to other Clan members.
The system is a manual function and I only add the members that are on my BF3 friends list,
so if you are not in the list please add me to your friends list in battlelog (flatsix666).
You can find the feature under the "Gamestats" menu in the site top bar.


Nearly the big day, and I would like to take this oppertunity to thank all our Clan Members for
their continued support through 2011, it is you guys who make the OGHF the place that many
enjoy on a day to day basis. Also I would like to thank the players who have become site
members and support us by reporting foul play and give feedback about the
status of the servers it all helps make sure we get things right.
A special thank you to all of our donators this year, it greatly helps to take the sting out of the
running costs. Also I would like to mention the guys at Poundhost who provide
the Network and Server hosting for our non ranked servers, plus Killercreation who provide the
Ranked box for our Frostbite servers.
The crew who all help to ensure that the servers are kept clean, our admins who
give up their game time to ensure the bad guys are moved on in a right and proper
way, I thank you.
Finally, the council members who help resolve issues and work hard to ensure the whole
plan comes together.
So, as the last days of 2011 pass, watch out for 2012 when things will
get bigger and better.

Does this clip ring any bells with you guys???

I have been working with the servers daily to try to understand how we can offer good
public servers, at this point I would like to say that as a Clan the public servers
are important to us as they both promote the growth of the Clan and provide
lone players somewhere to play. I know that over the last couple of weeks a
number of the clan members have raised concern over the lack of admin and rules.
This is our normal process when we start a server for a new game type it
takes time to learn the best way to regulate a server. If we over admin from the
start that can have a bad effect on the servers popularity and also our clan.
The difference that the EA servers bring to rule setting is that they have a
rules of engagement for server owners, if your admin methods are not
in line with this document then the RSP can be told to at worst terminate
your server. Also we have the issue of unstable server files, this causes crash's
that are first blamed on admin tools. I therefore need to be confident that the tool
we use has no effect on stability. The graph below shows the effect of the server patches
on our large conquest server.

I am now at a point where the issues of the game and the setups that can attract players is
understood so any loss in traffic will be down to the changes there so I have a good
foundation. From today I will start to increase the admin functions with the game, I
would like to remind you that all the servers have a player controlled teamkill
function so you can decide to forgive or punish your killer. Also all the
servers are adaptive so pay no attention to the initial server slot
number of 4 this grows automatically as people join from
Battlelog.
Anyway the servers are doing well, I tested the config/settings concept with a new
server I started up today which filled within 2hrs with no seeding . Here is a
Battlelog grab of our servers taken at 3pm today.

Finally, please bare with me and the admin team as we move the game forward within
the OGHF and please continue to support our servers by both playing them and
giving constructive feedback in the forums.
