Hi Guys, based off of a few requests I have added a load more games to our arcade

section. They are mainly Military and Yeti themed games.

Looks Like we have new style of server....again

So, after a few hours of trawling through the info from the

twitter stream of the reveal. These little gems have come out.

The anti cheat will be VAC (so steam, no free content then because they

will have a charging framework??)

The game servers will be ranked and unranked. The unranked

can be customised (that's what they say about BFBC2 but all you can do

is turn on and off a few things so we will see). The real pain is that you will

not be able to host your own and you will have to buy them

from gameservers.com exclusively.

So, it looks like the days of hosting our own dedicated server and

adding numerous games to it has peaked. The games we currently host

are as far as we can go with full control and flexibility of slots.

But anyway seeing that the future is unknown and until you try it

who knows for sure.....

I have pre-order the following servers for you guys to try out if you

choose to buy BO as well as MOH (which is also exclusive to EA

providers) I have been told they will all be active on the

respective launch days.

The Black Ops Reveal

Right then Guys, the leak post I put up last night was right then and all the details listed in it
appear valid. I am not sure how I feel at the moment, the game is looking worryingly like
an arcade event in multiplayer. I think that they let us down a bit with the whole
"ooooooh just you wait till Sept 1st" thing. There was no mention of Beta's/Demo's/Dedi's or
mod tools. So with my once bitten twice shy theory, just make sure that if you are pre-ordering
you have a big eurge to play the single player just in case they have us over.
I cannot get this out of my head, they can see from the IW forums and on-line petitions
the amount of PC gamers that choose not to buy MW2 because of it's online play structure.
So, if I was about to launch a new version I would be in quick with a Dedicated server statement
and bang the pre-orders would be up by a large amount. I know that the community
manager has said that they will do servers however you try finding it in black and white
on the main site. Also, normally by now evenbalance would have posted a work
in progress statement about punkbuster integration, they did this for Medal of Honour
about 2 months ago. Below is the video shown at the reveal, it runs you through all the
new game types. However, it does not show the core types like TDM,DM,S+D,CTF etc
from the leaked info they are stating a TDM of 6 players per team. Why?, well one reason
could be peer to peer gaming as in MW2. Each player in an on-line game consumes around
100kb of bandwidth so if you are planing to link guys using their home broadband you need to
cap the numbers to prevent lag. So, at the end of all that waffle two things, one is
I ain't going to mothball the World at War concept yet and secondly I have sent a note
to the COD FPS fairy for some help and a big lump of luck. My concerns may be completely
unfounded, Please post your feelings in the forum.

-There is going to be an object called 'Nightingale'. It was a bundle of firecrackers that created noise and gunfire sounds, as to draw Viet-Cong to the location. If in multiplayer it could create a flashing red dot on enemy radar, a fake person so to say

-"You can create a tag and etch it onto your weapons, so they're stamped as yours. The option is also there to alter your sights and clip on attachtments such as flame-throwers"

-another new feature is the addition of currency in multiplayer. Your success gives you cash which you can spend on unlocking new weapons, uniforms and accessories to your player

-New Team Tactical type gamemode called Wager Match. It chooses a random game mode out of One in a Chamber, Sharpshooter, Sticks and Stones and Gun Game
-One in a Chamber - you have one bullet and a knife, and every kill you get gives you another bullet
-Sharpshooter - you are given a random weapon, so you either get a overpowered, or underpowered weapon
-Sticks and Stones - you have a crossbow, ballistic knife and Tomahawk. Crossbow and ballistic knife kills give you points, Tomahawk kills don't
-Gun Game - you start off with a bad weapon, but every kill upgrades you weapon. The first to reach the 20'th gun wins. Here is some footage of a Gun Game mod from

-TDM is still there, but points such as headshots, and other bonuses are added to the team score

-Three confirmed maps:
-Radiation (set in a power station)
-Summit (snowbound mountain base)
-Launch (missile base - the rocket will lift off dureing gameplay, and fry anyone underneath)

-Call of duty black ops trailer will debut at half time during England v Bulgaria on ITV1 on 3 September

Black Ops Multiplayer Reveal

The full multplayer reveal for Black Ops takes place today, from what I understand it will happen
at 6pm their time, which equates to around 2am on the 2ND September for us. By the looks
of the official site they have been collecting common questions about the multiplayer and their
community manager will answer as many as he can. Also their are loads of Beta/demo rumours
flying around, maybe these will be cleared up by this event to. The game is looking good to me
although the game engine looks exactly the same as MW2, not a bad thing as I felt that graphical it was a great balance of detail and performance on an average machine.

So, maybe, and this is just my humble opinion, Activision have a chance to clear up the dedi server thing without having to eat humble pie. I feel it will be the death nail for MW2 on the PC though, so who knows maybe after the launch of BO we will get a game of the year edition of MW2 with dedi's. I for one would be happy with that as I have played MW2 on AlterIWNet which lets the host run his own configs, once the game has been tweaked a bit and you have the option of a server browser so you can find your mate's it is great.

So, hopefully on the 3rd of September we should all be happy bunnies and settle down to the
short wait till our next installment of COD action.

World at War Servers

World at War Servers

They are all back up and running now so have fun Gits

Hi guys, this is a what I know so you Know news post. Our servers for world at war are down at the

moment, but it seems that the rest of the WaW world is down to.

The servers cannot maintain a link with Activisions master servers so they drop out

it has been chopping and changing most of the day.

Also over at the CallofDuty HQ the playstation 3 guys are moaning to, i think they use the

same authentication system as PC.

I have installed a new server to check if we have a corruption or something it run at version 1.1

but as soon as I patched it up to 1.6 or above it would not run.

I suspect alot of you are have issue's just getting the game to fire up and stay stable, mine logs me on once

in the server browser it only finds 60 servers (most have cracked in their titles). I have

got in to one but the minute I came out the game crashed and I cannot get back on-line

I will keep an eye on whats what and get us back ASAP Treyarch and Activiision are not reponding in

their support forums.

I wonder if they are doing server changes for Black Ops

Multiplayer Black Ops

Here, is the first peak at the BO multiplayer. It looks great fun

although, call me an old git but it does look graphically and from

a HUD point of view a hell of alot like MW2. Still, if they give us

true dedicated servers bring it on I say...
